A Healthier Diet, A Healthier Child

Erinn proudly shows us her sticker chart, with over 60 stars! She’s earned each star by trying different natural foods, like fruit, vegetables, pulses, seeds, meat and fish.

One year ago, it seemed impossible to imagine this day.

Erinn was an extremely picky eater who outright refused to touch fruits or vegetables. Her favourites were ice cream, cereal, bread, chicken nuggets, and milk. As a result, she was often sick, and her restless nights left her tired and clingy during the day.

Thanks to Live Naturally’s healthy eating project, funded by the Hinkley Point Community Fund, Erinn has transformed into a vibrant, energetic child. She no longer falls ill constantly, she sleeps better at night and has a balanced mood and steady energy throughout the day. Today, she enjoyed a full roast dinner, including potatoes, chicken, stuffing, carrots, and broccoli—a big change from a year ago when she wouldn’t touch anything green! Throughout the week, she now tries a variety of foods, including different types of meat, fish, and even dishes like tikka masala and chili con carne.

Her mum shares: "I would absolutely recommend Live Naturally’s healthy eating course to other parents. Learning about the importance of a healthy gut and understanding how good microbes affect digestion, sleep, and mood has been life-changing. Live Naturally’s family cooking sessions have been invaluable for us; we learn new recipes and get inspired to put healthy eating into practice. The program is easy to follow and includes online learning, hands-on cooking sessions, and one-on-one support. Now, whenever I make dinner, I think about the three essential parts: a natural starchy food, a good-quality, fresh protein, and, of course, some greens!”
