All the families attending the Family Cooking Club at the Recreation Centre today agreed that tacos are both nutritious and delicious! 😋 To add some extra vegetarian protein to our meal, we included black beans—a simple and tasty addition! 🫘✨

When they’re tucked inside crunchy taco shells, mixed with meat, spices, and colourful toppings, you won’t even notice they’re there—and they cost only 49 pence a can! 🥫🌈🌮
For dessert, we had homemade carrot cake with a soft cheese topping—absolutely delicious! 🥕🍰 Everyone agreed that cooking from scratch is fun, tasty, and so much healthier than modern ultra-processed food. 🧑🍳❤️
Shopping, grating, frying, and mixing are brilliant life skills, and it’s great to start learning them early. The habits we build as children stay with us for life—so we’re thrilled that so many families joined us for Family Cooking today. 🥄👨👩👧👦
At the end of the day, families took home special goody bags—not filled with sweets, but with black beans and fresh vegetables! 🛍🥦🫘
